Liberty fabric frames
Here in the UK it's Mothers day this Sunday.
I usually make cards for both our Mums,
but this year I've gone a bit different.
Liberty fabric scraps are the best
for decoupage!
I'm the one in the pushchair and my Husband is the one in red.
I hope they like them as much as I do.
I think covering frames could be quite addictive.
ps.
How big am I in that push chair?
Too big because I can remember it...
with much affection.
For basic decoupage techniques check out my tutorial here

creative blockage
Hey y'all.
Thanks for your comments on my last post
I actually felt much better
the same afternoon
so I achieved what I wanted gardening wise.
I'm so glad I got a head start
because now the temperature has dropped
and I'm stuck indoors with
creators block.
I think my loft declutter has backfired on me,
for now I have a cluttered sewing room
which equates to a cluttered mind.
My husband made the mistake of leaving me with
two opened boxes of cakes...and I'm in a cake eating mood.
ps
I'm having real trouble keeping up with all your blogs
seriously...
I know I'm not alone!

bury my heart at wounded me
Okay so that title is a little over dramatic
this injury is more like a scooby doo mystery.
I woke on tuesday with a terrible pain in my hand
and suprisingly enough, it is not related to sewing
because I spent the weekend in London.
I imagine its a back related thing
but anyway it's March
there's too much to be done for me to mope about another day.
I have at last got my spuds chitting.
This year I'm trying Wilja and Maris Piper
as well as my favourite King Edward.
March also means it's time to bring out the magazines
because I'm in need of a change in the garden.
I really love this apple tree blossom with the tulips.
I'm hoping I can recreate it here in my own garden.
After much ado the arch has been reinstated
after the winter storms.
So you see I really need to crack on
before those buds spring open.
Off with the sling...
and out with the half moon.

a brief moment in time
I have been giving a lot of thought lately about what direction my blog is heading.
Blogs that inspire me have beautiful images
and not so many words....
however
this morning I have been reading Audreys blog
and now I feel like I havent been chatty enough?
So lets begin with a new topic of
brief moments in time.
This moment is brought to you
with a smidgen of sunshine
a chirrup of Mary Berry
paint on my hands
ahead house full of paint fumes..

are you the chosen one?
I have achieved two things today.
Finished loft delving
and
chosen a winner of my giveaway.
And before you go panicking this is not what you could have won.
No this is a long forgotten roll of wallpaper.
When I met my husband he was living in his
unchanged late Grandparents house
and this wallpaper covered the entire hallway of the Victorian terrace
upstairs and downstairs.
It was..lets say a very vintage house!
I've found so many long lost treasures,
I now know exactly what I own
most of which is now cluttering up the house instead of the loft.
You really cant beat that air of mustiness!
Okay enough.
I have to admit to feeling somewhat restless
with my mad idea of choosing a devotee to bestow
a gift.
But it's done and the winner is
Audrey @ Quilty Folk
who gave Every Stitch
as her favourite blog of the moment.
as her favourite blog of the moment.
I think I was secretly looking for kindred spirits,
and although some of you came really close
Audrey and her fave
are just my cup of tea.
*Audrey I shall be in touch,
dont worry if you dont hear from me much this week
we've been forecast gardening weather
so that's where I'll be xx

random
Just a quickie because I'm decluttering that loft again!
I have reached the age where enough is enough.
I just dont want the clutter anymore.
When you live in an old house it has the tendancy to feel a little shabby
especially at this time of year,
if you have too much stuff
hanging about it can feel well...stuffy!
Of course there are some treasures
you just can't throw away!
Can you spot me?
I think we were singing the 'streets of London'
or some such patriotic garb.
hehe.
I think this counts as a suitably random post Cindy?

linking up
I'm not sure who this post is benefiting more
you lovely people
the blogs I'm linking
or me.
I think me because I am finding it a challenge to choose
a winner for my giveaway.
To make it easier, I have made a link list of your favourite blogs.
To make it clear I am not choosing a winner from these blogs,
these are your entries.
If I choose your favourite blog entry
