...are the best!
Especially when they come with lots of goodies from afar...
Thank you Mary for decorating my home and my life!
I am always intriegued by vintage patchwork
the hours it must have taken someone?
It's not even paper pieced,
just held and sewn.
(the way I made my first quilt)
I remember swooning when Mary
shared her flea market find,
never suspecting that it would end up in my hands one day.
So now it's my turn to
ponder....what to do?
Thanks Mary...I think!

Hee hee! Merry Christmas, Clare! You, Susan and I share a piece of the same unfinished quilt. Just like our friendship....not complete until all the pieces come together! Enjoy your finds and makes! xo
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! I guess I'd be tempted to square it off and make a large cushion...
ReplyDeletegorgeous patchwork - so much work must have gone into it. I can't wait to see what you do with it :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours, I wonder what magic you'll weave! :) x
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure. Whenever I see your version I always want to make one. Maybe this year I will.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Stunning patchwork! I love vintage finds, lucky you!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What a great gift. I could never sew in such a straight line by hand I think. Not sure why I think this as I hand quilt but that's my first thought when I see this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing to do and share the vintage find with friends. Di x
ReplyDeleteLove this! So sweet to be gifted with a hand piecing treasure!
ReplyDeleteWow is that enough to make a book cover?? Its lovely whatever you chose to make.
ReplyDeleteoh it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure!!! Keep on making it. I'll see if I have some matching vintage pieces in my stash to send you if you want. I am sure I do!!! My stash is taking over my house. I need to get rid of some. Give me a shout!
