I'm at that stage where my piece of handmade fabric turns into a quilt.
Four fabrics were auditioned for the part as binding
I almost went with a pink
but in the back of my mind I was always thinking
herringbone..herringbone..herringbone.
Joel Dewberry herringbone fabric is my all time favourite fabric
it is the perfect binder
when you join it together the seams become invisible...joy!
Excellent choice. Eagerly awaiting the big reveal.
ReplyDeleteyes I like that. I find it hard to break out of my comfort zone, but I LOVE it when other people do :-D
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!! Yes Herringbone is my favourite too, especially the navy! I LOVE it for binding, I used it on my son's quilt and it makes me smile every day!
ReplyDeleteThe herringbone is right on!! Looks great against the pinks.

Such a great photo! Love that backing!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great choice! I love the hand-binding process, just a great way to unwind at the end of a quilt and let the slow finish complete it....
ReplyDeleteStarted my patchwork quilt this week - thanks to your inspiration Claire xxxxxx
