pieced and loved

Okay so enough of the glummy bears.
I've quite clearly got a fully pieced quilt top on my hands!

Enough?
This is my piece and love quilt that was supposed to be for my dining room table.
As the creator I think I deserve the right to change my mind,
especially when patchwork is screaming to be quilted.
I'm going for more fmq as it's in tune with the whimsical feel of this project.
Also I've just seen Jeni's lovely vintage sheet prism quilt
found here at in color order
So shes all basted and ready to go,
snug as bug!

  7. Absolutely, change your mind all day!!! I love it...and even if you still want to throw it over the table from time to time, I am sure the table won't mind at all. I have put many a quilts on the table....just don't let anyone spill coffee or tea on it! Love it Clare!

  13. Aw,it looks so pretty on your line! That's funny about your change in plans because when I just finished this stacked coins quilt top I spread it on my table and thought I'd like it as a table cloth! We're going in opposite directions =)

  16. I love your hexagon quilt and I have wanted to do a hand sewn quilt project for so long. This would be ideal for me as the pieces are large and all one size. I would like to make a table cloth. How do you cut out your template accurately? Do you use a compass to draw it out first? Last time I tried some paper piecing I was at school (a very long time ago). I would appreciate your help on getting the hexagon accurate. Also, do you cut out your fabric by drawing round the template and cutting with scissors or rotary cutter? Love your work and the fact that you do most of it by hand! . Thanks X
