Wish they were macaroons..
however they are my sweet new perle cottons!
You may think ooh now they're Clare colours,
but no
this was an online bundle
colours already selected.
Totally getting this hand quilting lark
but,
oh
(think John Travolta singing Summer Nights)
the possibilities are endless!
Add them to my modest yet growing cotton stash
and I can't help thinking they remind me of something....?
Great I'm going to have a macaroon and a perle craving now! Looking good though.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors..I can imagine how to use them in stitches on quilts.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting will look SOOOO nice with those cotton colours!!
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I saw perle cottons (at a collectors/rag fair) and just loved them. I bought my fave colours (50p each) but it was only later, I realised how great they are to use, too. I much prefer them to embroidery thread. When I wanted some more, I went into John Lewis and the assistant informed me they don't stock them: "oh no, they're too old fashioned"! Your quilting looks lovely and even.
