a brief moment in time

I have been giving a lot of thought lately about what direction my blog is heading.
Blogs that inspire me have beautiful images
and not so many words....
however
this morning I have been reading Audreys blog
and now I feel like I havent been chatty enough?
So lets begin with a new topic of
brief moments in time.
This moment is brought to you
with a smidgen of sunshine
a chirrup of Mary Berry
paint on my hands
a head house full of paint fumes..
...and a little stitchery of course!

  3. You blog how you are comfortable and you do just the right amount of words for you. I wouldn't change what you do and that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. The other one being I like you. ;-)

  4. Put your coat on, open the windows and go and sew outside in the sunshine! Well, it was warm enough here to have done that! I like beautiful images in blogs...and a bit of chat (without that they can seem too impersonal?) You seem to get it about right! Going back to a few posts ago, you said your old house looks...was it 'shabby' in the spring? Well; it looks beautiful and intimidatingly perfect in your pics!

  6. I agree with Lucy, your boots are awesome! But can I just say that you do inspire me? I may not be a commenting type (a lot of insecurities come with blogging + commenting for me) but I always love visiting your blog!

  7. You look so relaxed but maybe that's the fumes! Probably should open a window!

  8. You look so comfy and peaceful sewing "in the moment"!
To me, the wonderful thing about blogging is that you can just do what comes naturally to you as there are so many different types of blogs and bloggers out there, and as you can't be all things to all men you can just be what you like!
We'll just enjoy whatever you give us Clare!

  10. Don't let what others do influence what you want to do with your own blog. It is yours. ALL yours. You don't do this to please others. Unless you do and then please pardon my ASSumptionationing! What? What do you mean that's not a word?? I use it all the time, really, I do... *shifty eyed*
I blog for the fun of it and it can get word heavy and I don't care. Hmmm, sounds like a new song in the works there! There is nothing wrong with word heavy posts. Those patient enough to read them may be influenced or inspired just the same as a blog with more photos than words. What am I trying to say here?? Stay true to yourself. There. See? Good AND wordy. LMAO!!

  11. Wow, those pieces are big aren't they. Finding balance, it really is a balancing act in so many ways....

  12. I struggle with finding the real me on my blog. Over chatty, not enough, to much food and books, not enough crafty business. I have decided that my blog is for me - a record of my life, interests and activities at this time in my life - if other people are inspired or become regular readers and commentes - I am very lucky.

  14. I think your blog is perfect the way it is, perfectly you. I have tried being someone else with my writing. And it doesn't really work. And I agree with Julie above.

  15. Could you tell us how big each diamond is? I don't remember reading that in previous posts. I'm wanting to make an oversized EPP project using some home dec fabric that I think would work best with large pieces. Thanks!
